Brittne Thompson, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Therapist who is passionate about helping clients heal from trauma and/or emotional wounds. She believes that hurts can lead to damaging beliefs that cause one to experience feelings of depression and anxiety. She enjoys helping clients process and “re-story” these hurts in a way that brings freedom and acceptance. Brittne’s hope is to not only understand the client but to also help the client understand himself or herself in a deeper way so that they can make the changes they desire to see in their lives.
Brittne has several years of experience working with childhood trauma and abuse and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to CBT, she utilizes solution-focused therapy by helping the client gain the skills and confidence needed to solve their problems. Brittne understands that each person has their own unique story and therefore seeks to tailor sessions to meet the needs of each individual.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University, Brittne obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. In the midst of pursuing her education, she spent two years living in and traveling throughout Peru. As a result of her time overseas, Brittne is able to serve clients in Spanish and demonstrates an understanding of Latin culture
