Cheri Cantrell, has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for the last 5 years and has over 20 years in various capacities within the mental health service. She has spent the last 7 years serving adults and older teens who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, stressful life transitions, PTSD, and conflicting relationships, and chronic illness. She enjoys supporting clients who experience difficulty developing secure healthy relationships along with helping her clients learn and practice non avoidance in order to navigate what they have gone through to where they want to go in their lives.
Cheri utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interactive and Solution Focused Strategies along with Cognitive Processing Therapy. She works as a team with her clients to reach their goals and also to meet her clients where they are in their life. Cheri enjoys the work that she does and is passionate about helping others to identify and end the cycles of intimate partner violence and trauma along with working on avoidance that keeps them stuck from moving forward and developing self esteem, boundaries, communication, and healthy long term relationships. She provides clients a safe space for support, that is free of judgment, and where you can be yourself in order to thrive and move forward in daily life.
