Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with a Master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She loves helping clients share their stories in a meaningful way, discover acceptance and peace in the present, and find hope for the future. Emily’s counseling experience has included work in diverse settings with a wide range of children, teens, couples, adults, and families. With training as a birth doula, Emily has a passion for couples and women struggling with issues surrounding pregnancy and the childbearing year.
To individualize her sessions to meet her clients’ needs, she uses an eclectic approach to therapy. She draws from mindfulness/meditation techniques as well as CBT, Narrative, Person-Centered, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and other approaches. Emily encourages holistic healing that emphasizes an understanding of the connection between the mind, body, and emotions, thereby addressing the whole person.
