Cheryl Wood, Birth and Postpartum Doula

DONA Trained Birth Doula

Cheryl received her birth and postpartum training through DONA International in 2018, and is currently training and certifying for birth and bereavement through Stillbirthday Academy and postpartum through DONA. Cheryl is passionate about educating herself and her clients in best birth practices and is certified in basic Rebozo techniques and basic life support (CPR) for people of all ages, including infants. She and her husband have raised 5 children, have 2 daughters-in-law, and have recently become grandparents.

She has personally experienced a wide range of birth and postpartum circumstances including miscarriage, breastfeeding a baby with a cleft palate, as well as pumping and reestablishing her milk supply after her own  hospitalizations and surgical recoveries. She enjoys walking and yoga for health, exercise, and stress relief. Cheryl says that while faith and prayer are an essential part of her daily life, she loves serving families of all, or no, faiths and backgrounds. Cheryl would love to support your family on your journey through pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, or postpartum!
